Globelines prolink H9200 and wrt54g: how to connect this two routers

Here’s my little way of giving back to the community. To share internet through a globelines prolink h9200 dsl modem through a linksys wrt54g router, you have to do the following:

1) access the h9200 192.168.1.1 by default (username: admin password:password)
2) click admin tab and then click on autodetect
3) choose bridge&router and click enable.
4) click on the lan tab
5) enable dhcp server

now connect to the wrt54g

1) go to the wrt54g settings page also 192.168.1.1 by default (username: <blank> password: admin)
2) choose static IP with the following details:
IP - 192.168.1.5
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Gateway - 192.168.1.1
static DNS 1 - 192.168.1.1
3) change local address to 192.168.0.1
4) disable DHCP server on the wrt54g
5) save settings.

now connect the h9200 to a LAN port of the wrt54g (NOT THE ONE USUALLY FOR INTERNET). Configure your computer to automatically detect ip and dns settings and either connect to one of the other lan ports on the wrt54g or conect wirelessly. ENJOY! :)

sir, i have a question with this. can you be more detailed on how will i gonna do this. i followed some but for somehow i am not successful.

1) access the h9200 192.168.1.1 by default (username: admin password:password)do i have to access as default? not my own password?
2) click admin tab and then click on autodetect
3) choose bridge&router and click enable.
4) click on the lan tab
5) enable dhcp server (i couldn’t find the dhcp server to turn it as enable)what i did is do not touch anything because it looks like it is enable already.

now connect to the wrt54g ( will i connect the modem h9200 to linksys?) or will i configure first the pc to linksys.

2) choose static IP with the following details:
IP - 192.168.1.5 ( i coudn’t put in into static, when i click it it goes back to automatic dhp). thanks

thats the common problem in webpage GUI. Its natural.. to resolve your problem!! try this steps…

1. reset your Linksys then turn it off!! open it again and connect the RJ45 Cable
(Lan Cable) from Linksys to your PC
2. open a new internet explorer
3. try again the procedure!!
Note..
actually I try to check this procedure if it is ok!! I reset all my routers and do the procedure again step by step and it turn out alright!

Gud Luck!!
